Amelia's

Above are some pages i have scanned in from various issues of Amelia's magazine that i found in the library. I love the combination of photography/typography/illustration! I will use my photoshoot in a mock layout for Amelias but to move it forward i would like to illustrate around the photos as currently it is only the title which is illustrated, whereas in the articles the illustrations spill over into the image.

What i also love about Amelia's is the variety within the shoots - studio and location shots, some poses are natural, some playful and some heavily posed, images are both colour and B&W....

The one element which links all the images together is the youthful element of the articles and shoots, even the really posed images are still a a million miles away from high fashion shoots in Vogue for example - and this is why i love it! I want my jewellery to be fun, appeal to people my age and most of all be accessible.

Elements to incorporate into shoot to reflect Amelia's:
  • Styled hair and make-up but nothing too severe or overly worked - keep it fresh!
  • One strong image with vast plain background to show off title typography,
  • Consider different layouts whilst moving the magazine forward.
